Shannon Engemann enjoys a highly successful, multi-faceted entertainment career, including that of voice-over talent for radio, television, the web and audio books, live and studio vocalist, infomercial host, talk show host, fashion and fitness model, and television & motion picture actress.
She has done countless national, regional and local voice-overs for clients such as ABC Television, Disney, CNN, McDonald’s, Lunesta, Lexus, IBM, Honda, Delta Airlines, Novell and many more.
Her debut in the entertainment business came at just 11 months old when she was featured in a national television commercial for Gerber Baby Food.
She began performing at the age of 4 as a studio singer, working with major artists such as Rod Stewart, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Nat King Cole, The Beach Boys and Bill Cosby.
At age 9, she was introduced to the world of musical theater, performing a principal acting and singing role in the original national touring cast of the musical “Saturday’s Warrior”. Years later Shannon appeared as a lead in the musical sequel to “Saturday’s Warrior” called “White Star”.
Shannon began modeling at the age of 14. She was discovered while walking down the street in Salt Lake City by the McCarty Agency and shortly thereafter was signed by the Eileen Ford Agency in New York. Her work has appeared in fashion magazines, newspapers, catalogues and on the web. She also has extensive runway experience.
Shannon’s production experience is not limited to one side of the camera. She has also worked as a makeup artist for commercials, print ads, motion pictures and television, sharing an Emmy Award for her work on the television movie version of Stephen King’s “The Stand”.
She’s has been a part of the world of entertainment all her life, having been born into a family whose father was the corporate vice-president of A & R for Capitol Records, and whose mother was a top Hollywood studio singer and contractor. Her uncle is one of the original members of the hit vocal group The Lettermen.
It wasn’t unusual for Shannon to run through the house as a little girl and see Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, go on a bike ride with Anne Murray or play catch with any number of major recording artists
Shannon is single and currently living in Los Angeles, where she is represented by DPN Talent in Beverly Hills. She is also represented by Talent Management Group in Salt Lake City, Utah.
